Maulana Mufti Mukarram Ahmad, the leader of congregational prayer at one of the Delhi’s mosques said in an interview that Imam is widely acknowledged as a symbol and champion of unity by the whole Muslim Ummah.
The cleric added that Imam took practical steps such as announcement of a special “unity week” to promote this sacred cause of harmony among the Muslim community.
The great Imam Khomeini also declared last Friday from holy month of Ramadan in order to grab the attention of the international community towards the plight of Palestinians and the problems facing the Muslim world, the Indian cleric noted.
He went onto say that the great spiritual and religious leader of the Muslim world is highly appreciated by all followers of other faiths due to his positive and integrated approach towards other divine religions.
Imam will not only rule over hearts of the Iranian nation, but also be remembered by the whole Muslims and free-minded people living in different regions of the globe, he said.
The cleric concluded that the great Imam blessed the Muslims and all oppressed nations with a dignified life and influenced the whole world by spiritual abundances.
