Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message posted on his official twitter account strongly condemned recent terror attacks in Istanbul, Dhaka, and Baghdad, saying Iran will not give up the fight against terrorism.
“We should not and will not rest until those behind terror in Istanbul, Dhaka, and now Baghdad and their ideology are defeated,” the Iranian foreign minister said.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi earlier slammed the terror attacks, saying that “All peace-loving countries in the world must make efforts to decrease such inhuman crimes by exerting pressure on the supporters of these extremist groups”
Nearly 260 people lost their lives and 190 others sustained injuries in twin attacks in the busy commercial areas of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, early on Sunday.
The Daesh terrorist group later claimed responsibility for the attacks, which it said were aimed at Shia neighborhoods of the Iraqi capital.
Separately, on July 1, a group of Daesh-affiliated gunmen launched an attack on a restaurant in the diplomatic area of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, setting off explosives and taking a number of people hostage. Bangladeshi forces finally raided the restaurant to end the siege.
The Bangladeshi military announced the next day that 20 foreigners had lost their lives. The six militants in the attack were also killed.
In late June, a series of deadly bomb attacks and a shooting attack occurred at Istanbul’s Atatürk international airport, leaving 45 people, including 19 foreign nationals, dead.

Following the footsteps of the founder of the Islamic Republic, senior Iranian officials have made their top priority to confront violence and extend coordination to curb the menace of terrorism from across the world.
The administration of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has campaigned for a World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) which was approved by the UN General Assembly in December 2013.
