According to a statement issued by central headquarters, President Hassan Rouhani will deliver a speech on June 02 evening to devotees attending the ceremony.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini will also deliver speeches on 3rd of June, the day of anniversary.
The statement describes the holding of ceremony in a perfect manner a religious, spiritual and national duty, and invite masses and all echelon of society for massive participation. Thousands of people from across Iran and the world attend the gathering at Imam Khomeini’s shrine each year.
Hundreds of foreign guests from various parts of the world will also be attending this year’s spiritual and religious event at the holy mausoleum of Imam Khomeini which is located on the southern suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Imam Khomeini passed away on June 03, 1989 and departed heavenly after rendering great services to the Iranian people, developing countries and oppressed nations at the sensitive juncture of history.
The Islamic Revolution, which emerged victorious in 1979 under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini, strengthened the entire Muslim world and the oppressed nations.
