Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks at a recently held special session titled “Basic rights and human rights from viewpoint of Imam Khomeini.”
The special session was held in the run up to an upcoming summit under the title of ‘people’s rights and the government based on religious and democratic values form viewpoint of Imam Khomeini’ at a College and research center on Thursday.
The intellectual went onto say that all systems ought to be bound to bless the members of societies and communities with freedom of speech and expression.
However, he noted that people within governments and administrations may attach more significance to the collective and social rights while the people out of administration give more importance to rights of individuals.
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Revolution emerged under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 and blessed the society with a variety of liberties and freedoms.
Iran made significant progress in several fields including media, press, education, heath, defense and several other fields following the victory of the establishment of the Islamic-democratic system.
