Time and again we were witness to Imam Khomeini’s excessive respect for his elder brother and mentor Ayatollah Pasandideh. During both his childhood and adolescent years he had the same amount of respect for him as he had for a mentor and more like that for a father. The Imam’s fraternal meetings with his elder brother were removed from political and leadership issues of the world of Islam and were devoted to concerns for the brother’s well-being and expected problems.
